Haberberger Recognized by The MCA Of Eastern Missouri With Five Outstanding Mechanical Installation Awards
Haberberger was recently honored by the Mechanical Contractors Association of Eastern Missouri (MCA) with five 2020 Outstanding Mechanical Installation Awards for work on projects for The Ladue School District, The Boeing Company, Missouri American Water, Tinuum and Ameren Missouri.
Haberberger was recognized for its process piping installation work at The Boeing Company in the Process Piping Installation category of projects ranging from $2 million and above, for work on the Boeing 220 Process Tank Line Project. This project involved complete HVAC, exhaust, and chemical feed systems to a new process tank line. This project was led by Pipefitter General Foreman Ken Bailey and Project Manager Greg Harrop.
Haberberger also received an award in the Process Piping – Public Utility category of projects ranging from $0 to $600K for its work at the Missouri American Water plant at Hog Hollow for the installation of new Lime Lines. Under the leadership of Pipefitter General Foreman Nick Ungerer and Project Manager Pat Reilly, Haberberger replaced some of the lime piping on top of the lime tanks. This work included installation of wear backs on the fittings to protect the material from wearing thin over time.
The third award was in the HVAC Mechanical Installation category of projects ranging from $5 million and above at the Ladue Horton Watkins High School. Under the leadership of Pipefitter General Foreman Clay Buxton and Project Manager Tim Schneider, Haberberger expanded and renovated the high school. The project spanned two school years and required close coordination with the school district. Haberberger’s use of BIM 3-D modeling allowed Haberberger to stay on schedule and finish the project on time.
The fourth award was in the Process Piping – Public Utility Installation category of projects ranging from $600K to 2 million at the Tinuum Thomas Hill plant. Under the leadership of Pipefitter General Foreman Frank Piel and Project Manager Rick Princivalli, Haberberger worked on process piping, utility piping and installed two fifty-foot bulk storage silos on the refined coal project.
The fifth and final award was in the Process Piping – Public Utility Installation category of projects ranging from $2 million and above. Under the leadership of Pipefitter General Foreman Frank Piel and Project Manager Pat Reilly, Haberberger installed process and utility piping to three new basins, a new LVW treatment building, two 80,000 gallon demineralized water tanks, acid, caustic and polymer skids and several improvements in the plant.
The MCA of Eastern Missouri recognizes companies and projects with the Outstanding Mechanical Installation Awards bi-annually. The awards are judged and selected based on criteria that includes quality of the installation, the working relationship between the owner and the contractor, and the project’s appearance.
